AdvancED External Review Team Report Highlights

Since receiving our external review visit from AdvancED in April 2018, we have received great news: St. Michael Catholic School has been awarded “highly regarded accreditation,” an honor that is recognized throughout the world!

AdvancED is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site reviews of a variety of educational institutions to ensure that all learners realize their full potential.  AdvancED provides nationally-recognized accreditation, the purpose of which is continuous school improvement focused on increasing student performance.

To earn accreditation, schools must meet AdvancED’s high standards, be evaluated by a team of professionals from outside the school and implement a continuous process of school improvement.  Accreditation is granted on a five-year term. The goal of AdvancED is not to certify that schools are “good enough,” but rather to assist schools in their efforts to “continuously improve.”

On the AdvancED Index of Educational Quality, St. Michael Catholic received a rating of 372.07 on a scale ranging from 100-400. This rating score of 93% IEQ is comprised/built from the scoring in three domains: Leadership Capacity, Learning Capacity, and Resource Capacity, as well as the scoring from classroom observations.
