2022-2023 Online Application for New PreK - Grade 8 Students (including current StMS Pre-K students)
StMS does accept Rolling Applications throughout the school year. Please contact Admissions@stmcary.org if you would like to inquire about applying for the 2021-2022 school year as very few openings remain.
Items to gather for the StMS 2022-2023 Online Application:
Recent Report Cards (if applicable): final ‘20-’21 year & progress through ‘21-’22
Educational test results and/or psycho-educational test results (for example IEP, 504, or AIG gifted test results) --if applicable, these are required as part of the Admissions Process)
Standardized test scores (required as part of the Admissions Process)
After submitting an online application, there will be two more required items to submit before a student may be accepted to
St. Michael School:
- a Teacher Recommendation Form- This form is embedded within the application and parents will be able to enter your teacher's email address and the form will be directly sent to the teacher.
- Academic Assessment Test for applicants in Grades 1 - 8 in mid-February. Details on scheduling the time and day will be shared with applicants via email. *Kindergarten applicants will take the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment in early March.
Students applying to Kindergarten for the 2022-2023 school year must be 5 years old by August 31, 2022. Students will be accepted into Kindergarten on a conditional basis with full acceptance contingent upon displayed readiness on the Kindergarten entrance test and open seats.
Students applying to the full-day (8 a.m. - 3 p.m.) Pre-Kindergarten for the 2022-2023 school year must be 4 years old by August 31, 2022.
At the time of registration, all new students seeking admission to St. Michael School are evaluated on various factors, such as current standardized test scores, a teacher recommendation, and report cards.

Online Re-Enrollment Information for Returning StMS Students
Grade K - Grade 7 Returning Students: Please complete your Online Re-enrollment between Jan. 6 - Feb. 4, 2022, according to the following steps listed here.
Click to access FACTS Family Portal:
Type SMA-NC in the District Code field.
Type in your username and password. If you have forgotten your username or password, please click on the link provided.
After logging in, click on the Family Information button in the left menu.
Click on the Enrollment/Re-enrollment button in order to Start Enrollment Packet for your child(ren).
Our online enrollment system will open with a link to the enrollment packet for your child(ren). The online process should take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and your information will be saved if you need to quit and come back later.
Current families, please note the NEW St. Michael Parish Stewardship Guidelines in effect for the 2022-2023 school year. View the St. Michael Stewardship Rate webpage for more information about the criteria and how to apply. For all current St. Michael School families who wish to apply for the Stewardship Tuition rate, please note you will need to provide the Parish with your child's official sacramental certificates along with a hard copy of a completed Stewardship Rate Application Form. For current StMS Catholic families applying for the Steward Tuition Rate, the deadline to apply will be March 15, 2022.
If your family is in need of a sacramental certificate from St. Michael Church, please fill out the St. Michael Sacramental Certificate Request Form and your request will be processed within two weeks Current StMS families who are registered members of other local Catholic parishes should follow the guidance of their parish and submit their parish stewardship form along with their child's official sacramental certificates to the Parish Office.
