Tuition and Fees 2024-2025 School Year 


PreK - Grade 8 Students
        Catholic Steward Rate           $8,301

        Non-Steward Rate                  $11,787

*PreK applicants for the 2024-2025 school year will be eligible for the Catholic Steward Rate.

St. Michael Catholic Steward Tuition Rate
The St. Michael Catholic Steward Tuition Rate is designed to support Catholic families in our St. Michael Parish community through a tuition discount. Catholic Steward families are those who are dedicated to raising their children in the Catholic faith. The family must be fully registered members of St. Michael Parish at the time of the Stewardship application and be active in the Parish community. We work hard to recognize their contributions to our parish by making Catholic education that matches those values more affordable. These active families attend Sunday Mass regularly and serve in the community through the gifts of time, talent, and treasure, and we are grateful for their dedication. 

2024-2025 St. Michael Catholic Steward Tuition Rate Application Deadlines
October 31st, 2023 – Families with a RETURNING Cardinal Gibbons High School student(s)
January 12, 2024 – Families with a NEW Cardinal Gibbons High School student(s)
March 1st, 2024 – All other families

Families who are moving to St. Michael the Archangel parish from out of the Triangle area are welcome to apply for the Catholic Steward rate by submitting a letter from their most recent parish Pastor.

Families who are registered parishioners of St. Andrew the Apostle in Apex or Mother Teresa Parish in Cary are welcome to apply for the Catholic Steward Rate and should follow their own Pastor’s stewardship guidelines and application process.

Families who are registered in other local diocesan parishes are welcome to apply for the Catholic Steward rate and should follow their own parish’s application process. Once approved, they need to submit a letter from their Pastor stating that they are eligible according to their parish criteria and that their Pastor is willing to pay St. Michael the Archangel the subsidy of $500 per year/per student.

Additional Fees

Application Fee
Online Application Fee: (non-refundable)…………………………………$127.00
New student application fee, per child, due at time of application submission.

Instructional Fee
PreKindergarten through Grade 8…………………………………………$405.00 
For all students in PreK-8th grade, due at time of enrollment/re-enrollment.
Fee is non-refundable after May 15, 2024.

Technology Fee
Grade 6-Grade 8………………………………………………………………$125.00 
For all students in Grades 6 - 8.

Athletics Fee
For Cross Country……………………………………………………………  $70.00 
For all other Sports……………………………………………………………$200.00 
Only for students in Grades 6 - 8 participating in Athletics.
Fee is per student per season.

The instructional fee covers registration materials, rental of hard-cover textbooks and online resources, consumable workbooks, classroom supplies, assignment books, art materials, physical education equipment (playground balls, jump ropes, etc. for use by classrooms during recess times), science lab fees for consumable materials.

The technology fee covers costs associated with each child's Chromebook, charger, protective cover, security software, and St. Michael School's upkeep and maintenance of the device during the student's middle school years. Upon graduation, each student will then be allowed to keep their Chromebook.

There are occasional expenses that arise as part of our curricular and extracurricular activities, these include (but may not be limited to): before/after school care, lunch, field trips, etc.

Tuition Payment
St. Michael School does not accept tuition payments or the instructional fee by check. All payments must be made through FACTS tuition payment.

There are 3 different tuition payment options available for parents as follows:


Withdrawal Policy
In order to withdraw a student, families must provide written notification to the school by emailing admissions@stmcary.org AND administration@stmcary.org

Registered students who withdraw after May 31, 2024 will be responsible for one additional month’s tuition. The school will not forward records for students who withdraw with an outstanding balance.
