Applying for Financial Aid
TUITION ASSISTANCE - Tuition assistance is available only for registered and active parishioners (practicing stewards) of St. Michael and St. Andrew Church. To be considered for tuition assistance a complete application for admission to the school must be received first.
FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will conduct the financial need analysis only for St. Michael and St. Andrew parishioners for the 2019-2020 school year. To be considered for tuition assistance all required information and supporting documents must be submitted and uploaded to the FACTS Grant and Aid website at www.factsmgt.com/parent-resources/apply-for-financial-aid by Friday, March 29th.
North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program
“The Opportunity Scholarship Program expands school choice in North Carolina through scholarship grants for eligible children in Kindergarten through 12th grade. This program provides funding of up to $4,200 per year for eligible children who choose to attend a participating nonpublic school” such as St. Michael Catholic School. African Ancestry Ministry and Evangelization and Native American Tuition Assistance: Catholic school students (K-12th grade) of African Ancestry and Native American heritage in the Diocese of Raleigh are eligible to apply for tuition assistance. The assistance awards come from funds granted to the diocese from the Black and Indian Mission Office founded by the Catholic bishops of the United States. • All applicants MUST complete a Catholic school enrollment application and a FACTS tuition eligibility application before this application will be considered. • Application Deadline: March 11, 2019 • Decision letters will be mailed to parents no later than May 24, 2019 • Tuition awards are sent from the diocese to the applicant’s school. PRE-KINDERGARTEN & KINDERGARTEN
Students presently enrolled in the Pre-K Program at St. Michael School must submit an Online Application for Kindergarten. Enrollment in the Pre-K program does not guarantee a student a spot in Kindergarten at St. Michael School. Students applying for Pre-K must be 4 years old by August 31, 2019, and students applying for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by that date.

Covers registration materials, rental of hard-cover textbooks and online resources, consumable workbooks, classroom supplies, assignment books, art materials, physical education equipment (playground balls, jump ropes, etc. for use by classrooms during recess times), science lab fees for consumable materials; DOES NOT COVER FIELD TRIPS, BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL CARE, LUNCH, ATHLETIC PROGRAMS (basketball, volleyball, soccer, etc.) or other after-school activities.

APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID
FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the financial need analysis for St. Michael parishioners and St. Andrew parishioners applying to St. Michael Catholic School for the 2019-2020 school year. Families who are re-enrolling or newly accepted may apply for financial aid. They will need to complete a FACTS financial aid application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by Friday, March 26, 2019. Links to financial aid will be provided upon acceptance.

Application and Instructional Fee Payment Information
The $125 application fee for new students is due when the online application is submitted.
The deadline for all new applications is Thursday, February 14.
The online application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
The Instructional Fee of $395.00 for returning students and newly enrolling students is a requirement of the online enrollment packet.
The deadline for current students re-enrolling online is Friday, February 8, 2019; the $395 Instructional Fee will be paid at this point.
The deadline for new students in Grades 1 – 8 to complete Online Enrollment (which is different from one’s Online Application) is April 10; the $395 Instructional Fee will be paid at this point.
All online enrollment and re-enrollment will occur through RenWeb’s Online Enrollment.
The Instructional Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE for all students after May 13, 2018 (unless a verifiable job transfer occurs out of the area).
St. Michael School does not accept tuition payment by check. All payments must be made through FACTS tuition payment.
Families must notify the school in writing if a student is withdrawn from the school.
Registered students who withdraw after the first day of school will be responsible for one additional month’s tuition.
The school will not forward records for students who withdraw with an outstanding balance.
