St. Michael Stewardship Tuition Rate 
The St. Michael Catholic Steward Tuition Rate is designed to support Catholic families in our St. Michael Parish community through a tuition discount. Catholic Steward families are those who are dedicated to raising their children in the Catholic faith. The family must be fully registered members of St. Michael Parish at the time of the Stewardship application and be active in the Parish community. We work hard to recognize their contributions to our parish by making Catholic education that matches those values more affordable. These active families attend Sunday Mass regularly and serve in the community through the gifts of time, talent, and treasure, and we are grateful for their dedication. The deadline for St. Michael parishioners to apply for the Steward Tuition Rate is March 10, 2023.

Families moving into the parish from out of the area and applying to St. Michael School (Kindergarten-Grade 8) are welcome to apply for the Catholic Steward rate and should follow their own parish guidelines and submit their Pastor’s approval letter to the St. Michael Parish Finance Office. Families applying to StMS School for grades K-8 who are registered parishioners of St. Andrew Parish in Apex and Mother Teresa Mission in Morrisville are welcome to apply for the Catholic Steward Rate and should follow their own parish guidelines and submit their Pastor’s approval to the St. Michael Parish Finance Office. New families applying to StMS who are registered in other Diocesan parishes are welcome to apply by submitting a letter from their Pastor stating that they are eligible according to their Parish criteria and that their Pastor is willing to pay St. Michael the subsidy of $500 per year/per student.

Students presently enrolled in the Pre-K Program at St. Michael School must submit an Online Application for Kindergarten. Enrollment in the Pre-K program does not guarantee a student a spot in Kindergarten at St. Michael School. Students applying for Pre-K must be 4 years old by August 31, and students applying for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by August 31.

Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8……………………………………………..$400.00 
(Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE after May 15, 2023)

The instructional fee covers registration materials, rental of hard-cover textbooks and online resources, consumable workbooks, classroom supplies, assignment books, art materials, physical education equipment (playground balls, jump ropes, etc. for use by classrooms during recess times), science lab fees for consumable materials: 
DOES NOT COVER FIELD TRIPS, BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL CARE, LUNCH, ATHLETIC PROGRAMS (basketball, volleyball, soccer, etc.), or other after-school activities.

FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the financial need analysis for St. Michael parishioners and St. Andrew parishioners applying to St. Michael Catholic School for the 2023-2024 school year. Families who are re-enrolling or newly accepted may apply for financial aid. They will need to complete a FACTS financial aid application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by Tuesday, March 3, 2023. StMS does accept rolling applications throughout the school year, so please contact us to learn more about availability in our full-day PreK - Grade 8 classrooms.   

Application and Instructional Fee Payment Information

The $125 application fee for new students is due when the online application is submitted.

The online application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.

The Instructional Fee of $400.00 (subject to change) for returning students and newly enrolling students is a requirement of the online enrollment packet.  

The deadline for current students re-enrolling online is Monday, January 23, 2023; the $400 Instructional Fee will be paid at this point.

The deadline for new students in Grades 1 – 8 to complete Online Enrollment (which is different from one’s Online Application) is Friday, March 3; the Instructional Fee will be paid at this point.

All online enrollment and re-enrollment will occur through RenWeb’s Online Enrollment.

The Instructional Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE for all students after May 15, 2023 (unless a verifiable job transfer occurs out of the area).

Tuition Payment
St. Michael School does not accept tuition payments or the instructional fee by check. All payments must be made through FACTS tuition payment.

Withdrawal Policy
Families must notify the school in writing (via email) if a student is withdrawing from the school. Email

Registered students who withdraw after Wednesday, May  31, will be responsible for one additional month’s tuition.

The school will not forward records for students who withdraw with an outstanding balance.

Tuition assistance is available only for registered and active parishioners (practicing stewards) of St. Michael and St. Andrew Church. A complete application for admission to the school must be received first to be considered for tuition assistance.

FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will conduct the financial need analysis only for St. Michael's and St. Andrew's parishioners for the 2023-2024 school year. To be considered for tuition assistance, all required information and supporting documents must be submitted and uploaded to the FACTS Grant and Aid website by Friday, March 3, 2023.

North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program

“The Opportunity Scholarship Program expands school choice in North Carolina through scholarship grants for eligible children in Kindergarten through 12th grade. This program provides funding of up to $6,200 per year for eligible children who choose to attend a participating nonpublic school” such as St. Michael Catholic School. African Ancestry Ministry and Evangelization and Native American Tuition Assistance
Catholic school students (K-12th grade) of African Ancestry and Native American heritage in the Diocese of Raleigh are eligible to apply for tuition assistance. The assistance awards are funded by parish second collection donations and a grant from the Black and Indian Mission Office founded by the Catholic bishops of the United States. 
• All applicants MUST complete a Catholic school enrollment application and a FACTS tuition eligibility application before this application will be considered.
• Applications open on February 1, 2023, and close on March 10, 2023.
• Decision letters will be mailed to parents no later than May 23, 2023 
• Tuition awards are sent from the Diocese to the applicant’s school.

St. Michael Church Dr. Charles C. Scott AAMEN Scholarship
Students of African Ancestry attending St. Michael Catholic School may request a scholarship from the St. Michael Church - Dr. Charles C. Scott AAMEN Scholarship Fund. An annual stipend of $500.00 will be awarded to a student of African Ancestry attending St. Michael Catholic School. The assistance can be used for tuition, textbooks, or school supplies. The financial assistance criteria established by St. Michael Catholic School will be used to determine the student most worthy to receive the award thus, applicants must qualify for the St. Michael Stewardship Tuition Rate. Applicants must complete the school’s FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment application by March 3, 2023, and add “AAMEN assistance” in the comments field.
